Biography

Dana Garner joined the faculty in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Virginia Tech in August of 2016.  She holds a BA in Accounting from Converse College, a Masters of Accountancy from The University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Virginia Tech.

She is a Certified Public Accountant (VA) and enjoyed her time as an auditor with a regional CPA firm. She taught for 2 other universities before coming to Virginia Tech as a full-time instructor.  Dr. Garner has taught many courses including financial and managerial principles, intermediate financial accounting I & II, advanced financial accounting, Government & Not-for-Profit accounting, and Audit.
