Biography

Mr. DiYorio received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting from James Madison University in 2014 and 2015, respectively. He worked for KPMG in Roanoke, Virginia from 2015-2019 before starting at Virginia Tech and has extensive experience auditing clients in the telecommunications and energy industries. Gabe hopes to complete his Ph.D. studies in Spring 2023.

Gabe’s research interests include empirical research in regulation and auditing, particularly related to audit and reporting quality through the lens of PCAOB and SEC enforcement. Gabe hopes to bring his auditing and research experience into the classroom to facilitate student learning and help advance the profession through his insights.
