The 2020 Virginia Tech Accounting Research Conference, that usually takes place in June, has been cancelled. Information regarding the 2021 conference will be hosted here as it becomes available. Questions about the conference can be directed to Robert Davidson.
The Virginia Tech Accounting Research Conference is sponsored by the Department of Accounting and Information Systems to enhance the department's research reputation. Format of the conference:

Conference Location and Hotel:
The Inn at Virginia Tech.
We cover the presenters’ hotel stay for up to three nights. Presenters, please reach out to Darian Rai, to make reservations.
Other guests, please call (540) 231-8000 and mention the Inaugural Virginia Tech Accounting Research Conference to take advantage of the conference rate of $149/night plus taxes.
If you fly in, there are two airports you might consider. Roanoke (ROA) is closer (about a 45-minute drive) but flights are limited and typically more expensive. You can take a shuttle, Taxi, or Uber, from ROA to the Inn. Charlotte (CLT) is further away (about a 2 hour 45 minute drive) but there are more (direct) flight choices and the price is usually cheaper. If you drive in, parking at the Virginia Tech Inn is free.
