Michael Mize

Michael is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Technology Assurance practice.  He has over two decades of experience in helping organizations with their IT Risk Management, IT Compliance, and IT Attestation functions.  Michael’s experience in these areas is across many different industries including financial services, retail, healthcare, and transportation.  Michael is also a national instructor and a quality review lead for KPMG.   Michael has been an active participant in recruiting efforts at Virginia Tech by attending career fairs, interviewing candidates, and instructing in business classes.  Prior to KPMG, Michael was an Auditor for the Commonwealth of VA and an IT Auditor for State Street Bank in Massachusetts.  Michael’s professional credentials include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC).  Michael is a resident of Hampton Roads and received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech.
