Biography
Francis Ding joined the Ph.D. program in the ACIS department in the Fall of 2021. He received his M.S. in Accounting and Business Analytics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021.
Francis’ research interests include topics in financial accounting, such as debt contracting and credit ratings, ESG issues, and corporate governance.
During his time at Virginia Tech, Francis has taught Introduction to Managerial Accounting. He fosters students' interest in accounting by incorporating real case studies into his classroom instruction and introducing the latest accounting debates to his students.
