Scholarship Application

BEFORE you apply for scholarships:

• Students applying for a need-based scholarship must file a completed 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (https://fafsa.ed.gov/) (FAFSA) by the deadline-with signatures, before the application deadline. International Students will file an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) Calculator (https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/pay-for-college/paying-your-share/expected-family-contribution-calculator)  in lieu of a FAFSA with the same deadline.
• Update Hokie-Spa and major(s)/minor(s) and expected graduation date to reflect current information.
• Review the Scholarship FAQs page.
• Review the ACIS Scholarship List to determine your eligibility for individual scholarships.  These are subject to change. 
• Update your resume.

DIRECTIONS to apply for scholarships:

• Log in to the VT Scholarship Central (AcademicWorks system) using your VT PID username and password at finaid.vt.edu → Scholarship Central (https://vt.academicworks.com/).
• Using Scholarship Central – Guide (https://finaid.vt.edu/)
• Complete and submit the General Application.
• Complete and submit the Conditional Application (Accounting & Information Systems (ACIS)).
• Review the Recommended Opportunities.  These scholarships require an additional application from the student.
