Biography

Ryan Hamilton joined the Pamplin College of Business full time in the fall of 2025.  He has over 20 years of experience in internal audit and fraud investigations.  Ryan is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner. 

Previously, Ryan served as the Assistant Director of Internal Audit within the Office of Audit, Risk, and Compliance at Virginia Tech.  Prior to that, he spent almost 14 years working for the Central Intelligence Agency, where he specialized in performance audits of sensitive programs and financial investigations.  Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and a Master of Policy Leadership from Georgetown University.
