Biography

Daniel Boylan joined the Pamplin College of Business in the Spring 2025.  Dan obtained both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration in Accounting from Indiana University.  He holds professional licenses as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Dan also earned a Ph.D. in Technology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in 2016.  His dissertation topic was “The Innovative Use of Twitter Technology by Bank Leadership to Enhance Shareholder Value.”  Dan Has been published over 25 times.

After graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree, Dan worked for a PwC and Lincoln National Corporation in Fort Wayne. While working in Audit, Dan specialized in internal controls and fraud. Dan has taught since 1996 and earned several “Teacher of the Year” and community awards.

In his spare time, he enjoys trail running, and working out.  Dan had 3 children and one grandchild.
