Biography

Fulton Galer joined the Accounting Information Systems Department faculty in 2017. Fulton received a Master of Accountancy degree from Virginia Tech in 1983. He spent the next 32 years in public accounting with a specialization in taxation. He has national, regional and local firm public accounting experience. He was a tax partner with KPMG, McLeod and Company and Cherry Bekaert during that time.

Fulton is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).

Fulton teaches the Principles of Taxation course and has taught Principles of Accounting in the past.
