Chris Xystros

Chris is a 1984 Virginia Tech ACIS graduate.  He recently retired after a 37 year career with KPMG. During his career at KPMG, Chris served as an audit partner serving several multi-billion dollar companies specializing in the transportation and renewable energy industries. He held a number of leadership roles in the firm, including National Industry Leader for the Transportation segment, providing industry-leading services, business segment growth strategies, talent development plan, and firm-wide subject matter expertise. Concurrently, he served as Managing Partner for KPMG’s Norfolk/ Virginia Beach area practice.   An immigrant to the United States, Chris developed, mentored, and led global teams with a unique understanding of the value of cultural diversity. An influential member of multiple not-for-profit boards, he has a passion for building strong, equitable communities.  Chris previously served two terms as Chair of the ACIS Advisory Board and is also a member of the Pamplin Advisory Council.
