Biography

Alicia Li joined the Ph.D. program in the Accounting and Information Systems department at Virginia Tech in the Fall of 2023. Her research interests include Tax, Audit, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Before commencing her Ph.D., Alicia served as a Tax Manager at Deloitte in San Jose, California, specializing in global employer services and mobility tax.

Alicia is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in both California and Virginia. She holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in accounting from Syracuse University.
