During the summer before their senior year, many of our students intern with government agencies, auditing firms, systems consultants, and other businesses. This internship experience adds value to their senior or graduate courses. Most interns receive an offer for permanent employment from that business or agency upon graduation. Our faculty members work with information professionals to ensure that this internship experience is widely available to our students. In addition, other students work with Virginia Tech Career Services’ Cooperative Education Program to gain more extensive experience as co-op students. Experiential learning is part of the ACIS culture.
The placement rate of our undergraduate students averages 95%, and a recent PwC Study ranks VT ACIS #9 nationally in terms of career success of our graduates.
