Carissa Malone and Karneisha Wolfe Win CAQ Access to Audit Personnel Grants

Carissa Malone and Karneisha Wolfe each won a highly competitive Center for Audit Quality Access to Audit Personnel Grant with their respective papers! Their advisor, Dr. Sudip Bhattacharjee, states that “This is a highly competitive grant and it is quite unusual for multiple doctoral students from the same PhD institution to be part of the winning team on separate grants.” Dr. Sarah Stein added, "It’s incredible that 3 of the 5 grant recipients include our Hokies."
Carissa's paper is entitled “Auditing from a Distance: The Impact of Remote Auditing and Supervisor Monitoring on Analytical Procedures Judgments” and is co-authored with Sean Hillison and Sudip Bhattacharjee, both from Virginia Tech.
Karneisha's paper is entitled “The Effect of Clients’ Usage of Artificial Intelligence on Auditors’ Judgments and Decisions” and is co-authored with Kimberly Walker and Sudip Bhattacharjee, both from Virginia Tech.
